If one is bad it doesn't say what is bad did you read what I said??? They inflated and deflated the tires the one that is not working will not read the tire pressure back to the computer. That is how they find out what one is not working..... Its not the most technical way but sure does do the trick and that is how my dealer did it without dismounting them all but feel free to take each one out of if you want. Also this is not reading from the dash board its the dealers computer they plug into the dash of the car....

I didn't notice your comment about the "dealer's computer". I thought you were saying that this method would work for anyone with a TPMS problem. Personally, I would never go to the dealer for anything that wasn't going to be covered by warranty.

Yeah of course but when The Tire company is paying for it I could care less I don't care how much it costs them as long as my car is working the way it was before they effed it up.

Screw TPMS, how about the old check your tire pressure weekly on your next gas fill up. Its not like the vehicle is going to automatically re_inflate the tires to spec like military vehicles equipped with CTIS (Central Tire Inflation System) That's another million dollar idea....Hint Hint.

Epic thread bump. FYI: The TPMS battery is sealed inside the sensor assembly with some kind of foam-like surround. It is definitely not easily changed.

The TPMS battery is not replaceable - period! The battery life is AIRC, 5 to 7 years. You replace the whole unit.
