Default Calibrate new rearview mirror?

Just had my rearview mirror replaced under the TSIB. However, noticed the tech didn't calibrate it. It shows "cal" on the display. Figured I'd check here before I call the dealer.

I searched and found the calibration directions for the older GS models.

I went to the dealer for the rearview mirror TSIB and Aux port TSIB. Rearview mirror was in stock, but not parts for the Aux port. Also, my passenger side mirror stopped working; so that's on order too.

Thanks.

It's in the manual--you're supposed to drive around in circles. I never did it, but the CAL went away by itself.

The mirror TSIB is for a vibrating mirror.

The CAL just needs to be calibrated. Press compass, safely drive in circles, and the compass will calibrate itself...

Read the manual:

1. Set the zone by holding "Auto" until a number displays.
2. Select zone by pressing the "Auto" button until you find your region.
3. Number will disappear.
4. Drive around in a cirlce at about 5 mph until "cal" disappears.
5. If unable to drive in a circle, drive around the block.

Had to read manual on how to program a "rolling code" for a garage. I forgot to synch up to the remote before doing the "learn" function.

Thanks.

Yes, because it's a whole new mirror. So you'll have to calibrate as well as reprogram the homelink.

I dont have ML so my sound system has more kick to it. When I play music with a lot of bass, I can tell the difference, it doesnt vibrate as much. However, as I was driving back home on the freeway, it was still shaking. And I dont quite remember what it was like before.

Yes, definitely a big difference. I have ML and the shake was terrible. I'd say it cut out about 90% of the shake. It's more of a small vibrate at high volumes with a lot of bass.

Yes, the CAL will go away eventually, but your compass won't read correctly, depending on where you live and the effect of the magnetic declination at your location. Take a look at the manual, you need to set the compass to the number to where you live to get the most accurate reading. It's a five minute operation. Just do it.
