Default Squealing in reverse

Hey guys. I've been having a problem and am hoping maybe someone else has had the same thing happen. I've taken the car in twice for the problem but they have yet to duplicate it. If I can give them an idea of exactly what it may be maybe they can fix it. After the car has been sitting for a while, usually overnight or after work, I get a very loud squealing noise comming from the rear of the vehicle. I've tried parking with both the e-brake on and off which makes no difference. It happens most of the time but not always. Has this happened to anyone else?

Does sound like your brakes....

Any aftermarket rims or other mods?

I have the same problem. Stock 250, when I go in reverse for the first time that day, I get the squeal, after that it's gone.

No mods. I just got it back from 16000 km service. I have noticed a very light squeal when breaking at low speed. I'm not concerned about that though as the pads and disks are still relatively new. They said they cleaned the breaks and disks during this last service. That shouldn't do anything about the initial squeal while reversing, though...

You changed the pads and rotors? You got to be kidding.

It's nothing rare out here in SoCal for brakes to squeal first thing in the morning. Check the rotors. They sometimes have rust on them from sitting overnight in the moist air. No big deal.

I'm sure some on this forum have already tried to get Lexus to buy back their car for this horrible problem............ha, ha

Agreed. My brakes did the same thing brand new. I never really noticed them squeal when breaking in reverse, just low speed forwards. The squeal I get is when actually reversing. While just rolling backwards or driving backwards.
