Did you notice the wheels were bent while driving (vibrations, etc...)?

No, I didn't notice any vibration. The tire noise was getting pretty bad from wear (or the new tires are just a LOT quieter), but I didn't notice anything in the way the car felt, and there wasn't any cupping or other sign of significantly bent wheels in the tire wear pattern.

I suspect the issue couldn't have been too serious - they didn't charge any extra for the straightening they claim to have done. I'll be putting a dial indicator on them soon to see what, if anything, is off or different. Despite their comments about both fronts and one rear being bent, I can't ever recall having a wheel straightened for less than $100 each. They charged nothing but the $22.50 per wheel tire installation fee.

I agree with "our expectations" except that I couldn't get the car with the lux package and 17" wheels. I'm considering it as an option. I think it would be quite revealing to autocross it with 17's and 18's on the same day. I just have this suspicion it will be faster with 17's.

Not to mention that the TSX is FWD...

But lobux, if you're interested, I'd be happy to sell you my OEM 18s cheap... even though you're looking for 17s.

Oh, BTW, I totally BF'd the car. It was a TL-S not a TSX. Some days I wonder about this aging thing, the rest of the time I'm sure it's mostly bad.

Well the TL-S is still FWD.

... But that makes the comment about weight make more sense.

I was going to say, you're pretty **** about maintaining your cars, so if you didn't notice any vibrations, abnormal tire wear, and the tires still held air, how bad could it really be ? Seems like the tire guys were blowing smoke up your ****, till they figured out you know how to turn a wrench and that they weren't going to pull any BS on you. . .
