Yeah, Lasik in most cases is not a health issue... it's almost in the same spirit as plastic surgery. It's completely elective and cosmetic. If anything, Lasik carries a chance of worsening your overall health.

Well, if everyone has good vision, there isn't much need for an optometrist, is there?

Maybe he is just concerned about job security.

ummm i would add some more mods to my car and just buy some more expensive frames. that way not only does your car look nice but you look nice as well, plus chicks dig nice frames and youll be able to see your mods!

4000(Lasik)=$500(Gucci,Versace,D&G,Chanel,Fendi+Lenses)+3500(Modifications)

I would definitely go for the Lasik sugery. I hate wearing glasses and contacts are out of the question because they are so irritating. Its better to invest in your eyes because that will probably save you from spending addtional money on damages you failed to see, such as bent rims, from potholes or curbing your rims, from misjudging that curb. I plan to get Lasik soon after some minor mods.

eye surgery for sure. lasik is a much better choice for the long term than wheels. styles change, but your vision is for life.

Go with the eye surgery. I did it 2 years ago and it's well worth it.

I'd say go for your eyes surgery and save up money to buy rims later.

Id say go with the surgery. I wore glasses and now contacts and Im glad I did that. But being in the military its not worth having glasses or contacts cause glasses break and contacts dry out and you cant take them out in the field. Go for the lasik cause its a great long term investment in your health. Glasses go out of style and ur gonna have to buy new ones and you'll always be buying contacts and have to have constant check up. forget the rims and go with lasik but just make sure you understand all of the risks. Also I believe lasik is a type of procedure and I know there are a bunch that are all meant for corrective eye surgery so do your research.

aftermarket parts. You dont' really need lasik. U hav contacts. I think that's more normal that doing lasik. U don't wanna mess up your eyes. They're bad and that just happens to be a natural event. Your car on the other hand is gonna get fixed up which is also a natural event. So let the natural events happen and what's a quick 1 min while you're putting in your contacts? it won't bother you THAT much.

I'm a little skepitical on the whole Lasik surgery.. I've been wearing contacts for 14 years and yes there a PITA but you don't have the risk like lasik.. I'm -4.25 in each eye but not as bad as the other member with -7.0 Its up to you and hopefully the benefit out weighs the risk..

You can't judge till you are there. I wore contacts for 17 years, and then I just couldn't wear them any more--they hurt my eyes. I got it done 4 years ago, and it's great. I can't say, though, if my contacts didn't bother me, that I would have gone thru with it.

You will get another car sooner or later, but you will not get another set of eyes in your life so what say you?

Honestly, I love rockin my Giorgio Armani glasses. Id rock them with a nice set of wheels. And I agree with ISbb, what IF that 1% is you and something happens and then you cant see to drive. I would first say how bad is your sight now? If its not that high then just get glasses or contacts.
