I grew up in a family of 6 sibblings and most people say we are spoiled, but its not like my parents arent making very good money.

That's the thing, your parents paid for it... so of course your view is that people should just pay for ALL of it. Once you reach the real world, you will find out that to own the car, the mortgage, utilities, family, all cost a LOT of money. I make about 90k a year, and that's barely enough to cover the expenses here in LA.

my monthly is $429/60 months, but i usually put around 1,100/month into it so i can pay it off early.

Why did i go this route and not a shorter loan? The interest rate was the same at my credit union and there's no penalties to do so. I figure I'll pay it off aggressively when i can, but if a month or two come around when life happens and i need the funds for something else, then i don't have to worry about paying the 1100 and just pay the 429 for that month. So far so good...

I've had the car for a year this month and it should be paid off in about 8-9 months

Maybe its just me but if my parents bought me a Lexus, I wouldn't be focused on my studies!

$0/month. I paid it off in full on the day of purchase. I had a little extra pocket money stuffed in a mattress.
