Hey guys I got a question, when I shift to reverse and the car moves i hear a pop sound from the front end and when I put it in D it pops again as soon as it moves, it doesn't happen all the time but it does happen. I am planning on taking it to the dealership to get it checked out, but I wanted to see if any of you have had this happen. i have about 23,000 miles on it if that helps.

 

I am at 10k miles and it just started happening after I put in my new springs. I will have it checked out at my next service interval.

 

knowing what the stealership has said about Manual Transmission noises, they will say that the popping is "normal". best of luck though.

 

I thought this was from the brakes. I have noticed that sound in all cars when they come out of park and begin moving in reverse and brake.

 

The sound I have (and the one I assume OP has) definitely sounds like it's coming from somewhere deeper than the brakes, like somewhere near the suspension or something.
