Default Tire Replacement

Could anyone shed some light on how long a new set of factory IS 250 tires should last.....and what type of replacement tires did you purchase. I've read on the website that the 18" tires should approximately last 18,000 miles. I wanted to see if this were a conservative estimate or not. Thanks for your help!!

Depends on your driving habits. 18,000 is pretty doable with everything but the max performance summer tires, and even then, sometimes you can get there.

Tire/wheel diameter has nothing to do with how long the tires last. Tire durability has to do primarily with the rubber compounds being used. Grippier tires are usually softer compounds and tend to wear more quickly. Driving habits also greatly affect tread life. Hard corners, burnouts, hard braking, etc can drastically reduce the useful life of a tire.
