Dealership and Nav Hack Story
If you know the right people and right places, anything can be done under warranty even if it's been hacked. I can't elaborate further than this but when you do something like hacking into the car's electrical system, you have to be prepared for the risks and know how to get around fixing it.
For those that are weak in the stomach, it's better to nix the hack.

FWIW, here's retail list price for the multi-display:
Display system, is350 2006 $5,897.62
It would really suck to have to pay to replace it.
And mine is as stock as can be, but I do have the software override and I use it frequently.
