Default Wheel Refinishing

My IS is officially no longer new, I scraped my rim against a curb today and now have some agrevating curb rash. Anyone have experience with a rim repair company that claims to be able to fix curb rash?

How was the quality of the work? How much did it cost?

Thanks in advance for your input

Curb rash is one of the first boo boo's many of us experience. I used some fine sandpaper and knocked down the rough parts and that took care of 90% of the problem. My wheels are the G-Spiders which have a more gun metal gray finish so it probalby is easier to fix them than the stock wheels.

dan, I don't know what to tell you to search for, but i do remember seeing an excellent thread on here on how to totally fix that. It's a diy i think from a wheel on an audi, but the same concept. Keep screwing around with the advanced search and you will find it. It really is a good thread with step by step instructions.

Man, I am always so freaked out whenever Im near curbs! I would die if one of my rims got ripped up from my own damn driving and with chrome you cant really do anything about it.

I remember that article from my days of S4 ownership, and found the article on Audiworld. Here it is: http://www.audiworld.com/tech/ext43.shtml
