Correct, the seam in question is underneath the air dam that comes with your X package.

 

So do most font lips just cover the bottom of the bumper or actually replace this bottom piece? Either way it sounds like a good way to not have to worry about it anymore.

 

mine is bad from me pulling up on a parking curb. I had to go buy another lip in the FS area off one of our kind CL members to fix mine. I hate how the lip is 2 pieces. It should have been one flowing piece.

 

Be THANKFUL it's 2 pieces. otherwise you'd be paying 2x to replace it completely, rather than just either damaged half. Not to mention shipping a larger piece.

I just had my front gfx lip replaced due to a tire tread in the road killing it... The one piece gfx are installed portside. The 2 piece are installed at the factory in Japan. I hope this helps. I got the new gfx front lip for $329 out the door. Easy to replace.

 

just loosen the screws a little bit and move it until its flush. very easy to do.

 

Both our '06 and '07 IS had to have the stock front air dam replaced-Under warranty. Both were warped from the factory (or installed wrong during the PDI.)

Why? He just bought the car. The first couple of weeks after you buy your new car is the only time you can complain about anything. After that they will blame it on you.

 

I went past Lexus for some stuffs today and i took a look at a non-xpac front lip.... WTF its a 2 piece... while i can see paying for 1 broken half is cheeper, STILL a 2piece front lip... thats so lame.

 

Yeah when they replaced mine on Monday, Clearwater Lexus left a gap on each side... I had an issue with that, and all it was, was it was just not pushed into the clips 100%. Fixed and looking awesome.
