I have an Injen ram air intake and Skunk2 full cat on my other car, and the setup is very loud. I love my IS that it is the opposite... quiet, relaxing, and comfortable. I have a few Qs about intakes for the 2IS.


1) Will they make the car a lot louder, or only when I floor it and RPMs hit the roof?

2) LMS... are they a real company, or just a type of intake sold by Ltunedparts? I can't find their name anywhere.

3) What I really want to know... is it true an intake like the LMS will get better mpg for my car? I'm getting horrible milage for my IS and I'm hoping it gets better by my first oil change.

I have the LMS intake.

1) It does make the engine louder during acceleration above 3k RPM.

2) LMS is real.

3) It helps, but nothing significant. I found the same gas mileage with or without it. Driving style affects gas mileage more than any intake...
