Im cool, anything over 3k before the car is paid off should have been used in the first place to buy a more expensive model or a better car or should go towards paying it off. Ill keep my money to add to the down payment of the next higher, more expensive car or pay this one off quicker so I can get a newer better one.

The only major mod i want to do is to rip every single speaker/amp out of the car and redo it all with a great SQ system. Gonna keep the stock deck and use a jl cleansweep. This will cost me probably $3k. But i refuse to start it until the car is paid off. I have another ~12 months to go and it'll be done

I bought my car outright with cashed-in investments, earning interest is just as addictive as crack and you can make all the money you want but you cant take it with you, might as well enjoy living a bit.

Mods... hmm... IF i do mod mechanicals, it will be with TRD parts so i dont void the warrenty, cost me 2k extra for the 7yr plan, and all i have in mind is a LSD, so hopefully TRD will sub-contract KAAZ or someone. I would like subs and a amp thou but the thought of adding weight to the car defeats the purpose of buying a sport car IMO, if i wanted sounds i woulda got a ES350 cuz the extra weight in a passenger sedan is fine.

I bought my IS and put $21k cash down. I have every option besides ML and the active cruise control, plus chrome grille, Giovanna dubs, and more.

I still pay for my car, but I do spend a little $$ for mods.

Just as long as it is "within the budget," it's o.k. I don't spend money I don't have. Mods are paid for immediately; never on credit cards...

I agree, i dont redicoulously out of a "comfort" zone, especially on a leased car, i do the basic. Rims, tint springs. total i have maybe 3500 into it. the older i get the less inclined i am to drop 4000 on a set of rims. Better things to spend money on, such as my sons college fund and my retirement.

lol, when i was at the age when rims really mattered the top o line was the BBS 3piece that you would see on IMSA/Le Mans cars, then the OMG FITTIPALDI's appeared and that was like almost as expensive as the BBS... 2k for rims were EXPENSIVE, course now you can spend 1k easy just on the tires

yeah i remeber the days when the fittipaldi 5 stars were all the rage, 15" at that too......... LOL.

I would rather spend my money on things that can provide a return, however dont get me wrong, i love to mod cars.

I probably have more money into my 99 tahoe then the lexus though since i own that outright.

Not everyone buys a car based on how much it costs. I could have bought a more expensive car but I chose not to simply because I liked the IS350 the most.

I'm still owe around 8 grand on my car. Every chance i get some extra money, it goes directly into MODS. I just can't help it. That's who i am and i love the way my car is now. I just need a drop and hopefully i'll stop then.
