the "stepping" you see is in the saving of the jpeg in any software.

I also have a 85mm lens. I just ordered the 10-22mm from B&H photo which should get here Monday, hopefully tomorrow. Anyone know if FedEx delivers Saturdays?

I just looked up the 24-105 lens, looks nice... If I was to get it, I'd have to wait a little longer to get some rims for my car. 1k!

 

Well that 28-135mm lens in a good one too. Not an L series (white ones) like the 24-105mm one is, but still a very good lens.

 

Nice pics! Fedex only delivers Saturday if you've paid extra for it. You *might* be able to get the tracking number and go to the local Fedex warehouse for pickup.

We've got a 30D as well, just got a new lens for it that arrived today (an EF 100-400 F4.5-5.7L IS USM)! My wife has a Porsche track event this weekend and I'm looking forward to trying this canon (pun intended, the thing is massive) out.

 

Nice pics. For the 30D, I think the 24-105L isn't wide enough. This was my experience with the 20D/24-105 combo. I highly recommend the 17-55 f/2.8 IS instead.
