I use mine only on February 29.

 

i drive on 2-3 hr trips quite often and i LOVE my radar cruise control. I set the thing and dont touch the pedals pretty much until i get there. Its GREAT . . . i just use the device on the right side of the wheel to slow down or speed up depending if im just following someone.

i use it when i dont want to speed or when im on the highway.

 

Here in So. Cal. the freeways are usually so crowded I'm not able to use it. BUT, once out on the open road (yeah once in awhile it really is open) I set the radar cruise and off I go. That option is truly amazing!

 

I use cruise control constantly and the control arm is the only part of the 2IS I wish was different, it reminds me way too much of an old Jeep or a beater truck. My last car (Acura) had great controls on the steering wheel, I wish the 2IS was the same.

 

It's the stock toyota arm. You can find that on everything from a corolla on up. It's been the same for years.

I use the CC whenever practically possible. The mileage goes up and the CC (in the lexus, anyway) can hold a speed more precisely than a human for extended periods of time.

Funny thing is, a lot of people (like my wife) hate it, maybe because they dont think its safe - they want control all the time. i dunno...
