OP got walked by the other car with ease.

The IS was obviously hopeless against the other car.

No button would have changed the situation here.

That other car's owner is probably rejoicing on his kill, and we should just admit the defeat without excuses.

Sad day, yes. But let's not lose a good night's sleep over this.

The IS is no sports car after all.

LOL I'm not losing any sleep over this. I don't think anyone should. Like many that have said before, maybe the other driver lied about not having any mods.

No one dislikes fanboys more than I do. However, I agree with Sexi that most of us are taking exception to the 'stock' claim.

Again, a stock SRT is a high 14 second car trapping in the mid 90's. The 350 is a mid 13 second car trapping in the low 100's. Despite the weight difference, the 350 has a healthy power to weight advantage.

Not disagreeing with you that a kill is a kill. However, unless something was very wrong, the SRT was not stock. They respond well to mods (as do most FI engines.)

No it wouldn't. joonsta is right. it just makes the tranny shift more agressive or respond to the slightest touch. at WOT (which is what he was doing when he was racing) there is no difference in the acceleration between normal mode and ect. Matter of fact, my 13.32 1/4 mile time was in normal mode.

there's also another thread already going about those gay neon's. Yes , they are very very cheap to mod, and increase their turbo power. The car you raced was a modded srt.

on yeah, on the title of this thread. It should read 0-60 in 4.9 seconds. That's what the last automobile mag put down about 4 months ago.

he lied dude.. he wasn't stock. I had a wrx i know how easy it is to mod a turbo car without any visible cues or noises. There's no way a stock SRT4 would pull a is350 like that. A modded one yes but not stock.

that sucks, must of ruined your day.

But to be honest, i don't care if a dodge neon beat me off the line, because I didn't buy my car for racing; i bought my for the luxary, the look, and a car that a girl would rather sit in than a dodge neon.

My comments probably make me sound egotistic, but its the fact.

There seems to be quite a few mid 14 IS350s on DragTimes.com.

If you are saying this over and over, then please stop. While the ECT modes do change fuel pedal sensitivity, that is not all they do. The bigger change is in transmission behavior. ECT PWR causes the transmission to downshift at every oportunity, and hold the gears higher in the rev range before up shifts. ECT SNOW is the exact opposite.

I don't know where they were running 14's, but I just looked at DragTimes, and it looks like a bunch of records have been deleted.

I raced a high 13 sec SRT4 and we're pretty much even.
