Default New IS 350 replacement for ES350

This is my second ES350 I am getting replaced. Told Lexus I wanted a IS350 and they agreed. Will be coming in next week and will be Black with the gray interior and e/w the perf. pack and a front air dam.(no Nav Syst) I dont know if this is the place to solicit for a buyer, but would be willing to sell. Of course, i will be getting the title so it would be a "used car" but it will be brand new. List for nearly 40K and whatever you can buy from dealer, I may consider beating the price a grand if i can verify yours. If this is an out of line post, let me know. Apoligizes in advance if it is. Location is Dallas, TX area

So, are you asking for a used IS350? In exchange for a new ES350?

Just want to verify...

No, I am getting a brand new car. The es350 has had tranny problems. the first one i had got replace with no usage fee, gave me a 100k warranty and esport wheels. the second new es350 had the tranny replaced at 1100 miles and i told them i wanted a new is350 and they agreed.

OIC.

Sticker price is $40k for an IS350? I think Dallas is not getting enough IS350 (like other metro parts of the country), so negotiating may be more difficult compared to the 250.

You should still be able to knock a grand or two off the sticker price...

Why are you asking for a IS350 ??? IMHO, I'd be demanding a GS350 and they can eat the price difference. I know that's what several other ES owners did over on the ES forum. That way, if you decided to sell the GS, you will get back full value for your ES's . . .

Funny thing, back in June I was considering a ES, but I ruled it out since it was a major redesign in it's first year. After reading all the horror stories on the new ES, I thank my lucky stars that I went with the 2IS . . .

Dude, jump on the ES forum and read about the tranny issues. Then ask yourself what you would do if it was your ES that was being replaced for the 2nd time for tranny issues. Like I said, a few CL members already traded up from the ES to the GS, precedence has already been set . . .
