I have the WeatherTech ones and I love them. They aren't the cheap ones that are held on by tape. They actually go on the inside like the JDM ones so no tape is required. There is no extra wind noise and they keep the rain out like they're supposed to. Good buy for the price if you don't wanna spend that much for JDM ones.

The OEM JDM ones does not go inside the window channels like the WeatherTech ones, It's held on by tape and they stick on from the outside. So the cheap ones you are referring to is the JDM ones.
It's stuck on using 3M double sided tape, and the chrome trim on the rainguards has little clips, it kinda clips onto the top of the window frame, so extra "durability", it also has a little metal tab that slots into the black plastic piece by the mirrors on the front of the doors.
