I just did the ECU reset but I have a question. I pulled the right switches and I kept them out for about 2 min (I know how it said longer than a min so I just wanted to be safe). Then I put them in, waited about 15 secs, and turned the car on. To my amazement, it started on the first try. So did I even do it correctly? I know people have had problems not starting the first time around that's why. I know then people will say well how's the car driving differently. I haven't had the chance yet to test it but a quick drive around the block didn't seem to change it much.

I drive my car like I stole it, every time... only thing the ECU learned was to use A LOT of gas.

No, if you reset the ECU right before a run, the car will run about 2/10ths slower as it's relearning. This was the case for me at my last track visit and I noticed the car even bounced off redline in second gear in auto pwr mode. The next run the car was back to normal.

I read the whole thread and did not find a direct answer. Before I try resetting the ECU I just want to make sure, is it required to disconnect the negative or positive wire of the battery before resetting the ECU or is it possible to reset it without disconnecting the battery at all? Thanks.

Thanks, I was going to follow the guideline #2 but the first thing it says to do is to disconnect the negative battery cable so I wasn't so sure if I should or not.

I just reset my ECU using this method, by pulling the 2 fuse. As expected, it didn't start up the first time, and worked just fine the second time.

I'm gonna drive it like I stole it for the next little while and hope the ECU can learn a more aggressive driving style.
