Man my friend has an '07 IS350 with only an intake and he beat another friends '06 G35 with intake and exhaust, note g35 was automatic, but still, i think with the exhaust and intake upgrade it should be equal or greater than the stock manual. Now, the only thing the IS owners have to worry about, (im also soon to be one ) is the new G37 that should be coming out soon, here's the link: http://www.topspeed.com/cars/infinit...7-ar30037.html it says it might come with 330 HP and 270 lbs-ft of torque. The car is going to debut at the NY Intl. Auto Show.

 

My last car was an '04 g35 coupe 6MT.

The 350 is much faster stock than the coupe was even with many mods (intake, exhaust, pulley's, lightweight wheels, etc.)

No contest unless the driver of the 350 can't push the accelerator down all the way...

 

Wow...so that's the final design on the G37? I don't like it. Like at all. That is asthetically speaking of course...I have no doubt that it will kick some serious a$$ in terms of power.

I wonder if Lexus is considering a coupe that is truly unique, as in not just the four door design with two less doors. I think with a redesigned rear, a IS coupe could be insane.

 

O man if Lexus decides to make an IS350 coupe it will be a friggin' dream come true, and I will gladly wait an extra year or two to get it, as it is I already am going to wait for the '08 IS350 to come out. If by the time the '08 comes out, the coupe has been announced, I'll keep waiting . and as for the G37, i don't think it looks that bad, the hood looks a little weird and rounded but overall its a nice looking car, but yea that added extra HP is gonna blow ppl away, hopefully for the '08 IS350 Lexus will drop a few more horses under the hood .

 

i think the current 350z is ugly....and the '08 g35coupe looks a bit similar to a 350z...so im gonna have to give it a thumbs down.

however, i do like the current g35 coupe.

but, i like my IS 3-fiddy moRE !

i'm with "tcho82" its probably the same chasis just with an infiniti badge, the is coupe is not coming out for another couple of years, if it does come out, but i would go IS350 for sure, no doubt about it

 

i just looked at the g37 pictures and maybe its just me but the front bumper looks like a a copied 335ci and from the side the line looks as if it were the new honda civic si, wierd, i like the current g35 coupe better

 

it also looks a lot 'older' (like my g-ma would really dig it), where as the current G35 coupe looks more sporty. maybe it's all the rounded corners and smooth lines.

 

A clutch allows you to engage at a higher rpm compared to a stock TC, so yes, technically a manual tranny is faster from a dig. But then if you have a tc that stalls at 3200rpm, then it's a different story. Also, auto eats up more hp due to more moving parts, and also shifts slower. The tradeoff is almost 0 chances of driver error.

FYI, g35c 6spd is driver's race between a bmw 330ci zhp and a honda s2k (all stock) on a dragstrip.

yuck interior i would take is350 over that crap anyday! 30 more hp is worthless if you can't stand the interior imo.

 

new G37 is weird looks like cheap Altima coupe … I think current G35 is much better … this is only one Nissan I would maybe buy, because for those $$$$$ its nice coupe ,, interior of course made of *****t….. lol
