Default battery removal and memory settings...

I am planning to remove the battery to run the power cable for a sub amp. Will it clear out the memory settings (radio stations, phone book, nav) and does the stereo require a code reset after the battery is reconnected?

When I put in my yellow top optima battery to run my system I do not remember my radio settings going away. I do not have nav so I could not help you with that.

no it won't! i unhooked the battery wen i reseted the ECU. all "My Places" and locations were still remembered. when i reseted the eCU, my windows couldn't roll up or down until i fixed them. but besides that, nothing else went wrong. ANd no it doens't require a code.
