Just an old Olympus D-490 digital from 2001. It's a relic now but it still works fine. Thought of updating it with a new camera, but no real need to get a new one.

Yes, it's a seven piece kit. Four door switches, and 3 pieces for the console (ash tray cover, drink cover, main console).

very nice good value for your money too but i'll actually wait for the real thing... i can tell the difference from the depth of the surface

just to illustrate my point....

The CF kit is REAL carbon fiber, so waiting for something else isn't necessary. The big difference in your pic is the matte finish instead of the shiny finish. Just a different approach. But from what I see from the kit in my car and your pic the actual depth of the fiber looks about the same.

Actually I think you are right! when I first looked at the close-up pictures you have posted, the shiny reflection looked irregular to me so i though it wasn't real CF, but now when I look at it I can tell that the irregularity was actually the projection of tree leaves or something outside... looks good I still hope there was one with a matte finish.

One question though, when you open the cup-holder, does it show that it's a built-on... because the ashtray doesn't give it off

No, when you open the cup holder it doesn't show it is an add-on as the piece folds over on the three exposed sides of the cup lid (like it does on the ashtray lid). I don't have a pic to show it.

So you ordered from Sherwood Dash? It's a Canadian company but they do have a distributor in the USA that has an online website: http://www.wooddash.com/category/LEX...ts_IS250350300
Has anyone ordered from these guys? Wooddash has a promotion going on right now. About $170 USD for 8 piece dash kit for the IS, with free shipping. It looks tempting though but I'm concerned about quality and fit and finish.
