Default Clear Bra on Interior?

does anyone know if you could install clear bra material on the interior plastic. I am careful as hell, but i always seem to scuff the plastic on the door sills. I have a black interior, and dirt when scratched into the plastic doesnt come out that easy. Has anyone tried this? I may pioneer it

if nobody had experience with it, i'm going to call a few places tomorrow to see what they can do. It would be great if i could find a place to do it with some scraps left over from a job.

I'll let you know if i dont hear anything from this post. I think it'll really be worth it if someone can make it work.

I've seen it used on the wood (past threads on this board), but you're not going to want to use it on any surface with a texture. It will be obvious that it's covered with plastic.

People have used the clear plastic on the wood as it easily scratches.

The plastic trim will not easily scratch, nor will the clear coat easily adhere due to variants in texture.

If you are concerned about the black interior, I suggest regular maintenance and cleaning instead of putting a clear plastic runner on the door sills.

Yes, I agree. Plus, it just messes with the look of the beautiful Lexus interior. I want to show it off and not go off and cover everything up. I thought about the front bumper cover (bra or whatever you call it), but decided it degrades the look of the car. It's so nice looking the way it is and it's ashame that it needs to be hidden behind a bra (even though it protects it from rocks, bugs, etc).

I wipe the sills down every week and the dash and such with a nice clean soft cloth. I actually keep the cloth right there on the passenger seat floor, lol in case I see a scuff mark or something like that
