I'm about to pick up, hopefully, my 08 IS350, has this "creak" problem been resolved in the 08's, does anyone know?

Good luck with that, unless what you really mean is "trade in". I had mine in for various squeaks and rattles, and each time it came back with nothing but more problems. They smeared silicone goop on the vents that still is visible in the right light, used felt pads that were too thick (causing misalignment of vents, etc.)....you name it. At the end of the day, they shrugged and told me that all sports cars rattle.Originally Posted by sailing217

I followed this up with a call to Lexus, who investigated for 10 days, and then called to let me know that they concur with the dealer diagnosis, and that the car is within specs.
So there you have it, folks. Lexus is cost cutting and designing cars that rattle, and they're ok with it because we keep buying them. Even the car mags are acknowledging that Toyota is cutting costs, and it shows.
Such a shame, too - this is an amazing car by all other accounts...it just rattles from at least 5 different places while I'm trying to enjoy the ride.
