cold weather issues
ok so maybe im just used to SoFla weather and the sub 40 degree business in NC is messing with my head...but whenever its really cold it seems like all the electronics lag when i try to use them...and when i say lag i mean like its so slow it should ride the short bus...
for example...if i change the volume on a nice sunny spring day...the digits on the digital display change almost in tandem with the twirl of the ***...but in the cold it takes a sec for the number to change and it looks as if all the numbers start to blur together...that and sometimes its 30 freakin degrees outside and it'll take a good 6-7 minutes till any air kicks in when the things set to auto...
like i said maybe im just being @n@l since its a new car...anyone else see the same effects?
ps - my 250 is non-ML/non-Nav...im cheap

Yes.. You're not the only one.
It says in the service manual that displays will lag on colder days. Same thing with your cell phone if you leave in in the car. Even the center screen where the temp. is shown. I have little lag but it goes away once the car is warmed up. Usually in 30 and lower temps.
Now the air issue.. I'm not sure why it does that, however you aren't alone on that either. My air does not kick on but by the time I get in the car its running and warm. Seems to me even in the cold only takes the car a few minutes to warm up the inside. In the winter time I turn off the AC part.

ahha... the cold is no fun.
as for your air not kicking in until a few minutes into warming the car that is normal. when it's on auto, the fan does not turn on until your car's temp guage reaches at least the first black line. this happens so that cold air is not blown at you. once the car warms up, the climate control can then start blowing heat. also remember that the heat comes from the engine...

has been around -5 here for almost a week with a wind chill as low as -25 some days. my displays and everything have been lagging pretty bad. usually dont use any items until the car gets warm and the vents heat up the dash. car had a hard time starting last night also. wasn't cool but what are you going to do.....

Many displays such as your nav and your cell phone use LCD technology
which stands for Liquid Crystal Display.
The response time to change images on these will slow in cold weather.
Nothing wrong at all. As for the delay on your air system, it is programmed
to wait for a preheated condition before increasing the fan speed to avoid
blowing cold air on you.
