Less luxurious than an Infiniti is definitely a matter of opinion. I think that the IS interior is more plasticky and definitely less color coordinated than the Infiniti. I still don't understand why there are sooooooooo many different interior trim color pieces in the IS (it kind of drives me crazy). Lexus definitely did a better job in the F than in the 250 and 350, as the nav trim is black and not the weird graphite color.

You're complaining the car was too slow after buying a 250?
In other news, water is also wet.
On the other hand, a 250 with F-sport parts outhandles a 335i in both slalom and skidpad...
A 350 for that matter will also run within 1/10th of a second of the 335i in 0-60 and 1/4 mile too, while costing about $8000 less and offering vastly better interior, luxury, resale, and reliability.

I've owned the IS350 and currently have a couple of BMWs including the E90 M3. I've never understood the complaint that the IS350 wasn't sporty, quick or well built. Ours was extremely quick and still normally aspirated (unlike the bimmer 335), which for an enthusiast, is a complete joy. I hated the tranny because I don't want the car to shift for me, but the handling was great, the Potenza's gripped well and I could outrun most modern sedans. In regard to build quality, it was top notch. Now, I don't know what has changed since we bought our 2006, but it held up extremely well. After 4 years of ownership, the cabin still looked new with only slight wear to the leather surfaces. The wood and plastics were in perfect condition.
As a direct comparison to my M3, well, that's just not fair. I'd still give the nod to the M3 when compared to the ISF. However, compared to the 335, I think it comes down to inside/outside styling and whether you want a turbo. Both will carve the canyons quite well and accelerate like a man running from his wife's "honey-do list."
