Ticking noise coming from engine
I have an 07 IS350. I hear a tic, tic, tic, noise coming from the engine about 20 seconds to a minute after I start the engine, and its a constant tic, tic, tic, after that. Does anybody have this same problem? Is this normal? I have a couple of mods done to my car, F5 intake and tanabe exhaust. Thanks in advance.

I suspect this has a lot to do with the sound:
Standard low pressure injection is ~40 psi.

If the pressure is not as specified, check the fuel pump, high pressure side fuel pump, fuel pressure sensor and wirings.

The ticking noise is caused by the high pressure direct injection system used by the engine - similar to the modern common rail diesel engines. It gives a more precise fuel burn, resulting in better fuel economy and lower emissions.
