Thanks. I thought I read something about "jumpy" NAV after one of the hacks.

I burned the downgrade DVD however after pulling the fuse and starting my car I get the following message "Program can not be read, Consult Dealer" I put the disk in and nothing happened. Now I can't get the disk out. The audio and every thing else works as far as I can tell, just the NAV is FUBAR.
PLEASE HELP.

I'm pretty sure that if you touch the upper left, lower left, upper left, lower left corners of the screen, 4 touches in that order, the disc will come out...

The message you are getting should also have some Chinese letters I think... That means that your burned disc does NOT have the bitsetting/booktype of DVD-ROM...

I'll try that today. The error does have some kind of Asian characters underneath. I'm not sure about the bitsetting, I used Burn on the Mac to make the DVD and it was readable on the computer, I followed the settings from someone else that used the Mac.

Well I got the burned disk out by touching the upper RIGHT corner, put the original disk back in and everything works as before. The odd thing is that my original disk is 5.1 yet I'm unable to do the hack. Any Ideas?

Any one get the '08 hybrid map DVD working?

I'm referring to a map DVD that does not have an accept screen and can do the software override.

Just to confirm, that gives you the option to select new destinations while in motion, the 5 seconds then auto (I agree) plus the latest mapping?

NO "5 seconds then auto", that only comes with the latest firmware.

If one purchases the latest nav disc, 7.1, does that include the latest firmware which allows you to have the "5 seconds then auto" option?
