Default Can you do these on an AWD ...

I would like to know if you can replace the stock 17" wheels with 18" wheels and lower the car by 1" or 2". Also, I was told by someone that you can stagger the wheels on an AWD as long as the diameter are the same for the front and rear. Is this corrrect?

I would appreciate any input. Thanks.

you CAN stagger but i dunno why you'd want to. as for bigger wheels and a drop, 18s with maybe a 1.5" drop would be nice. i think 19s would look nice though. check out the aftermarket wheel thread to see what other AWD owners are doing.

19x8 with 2" drop here on AWD, no problem whatsoever. Although the rear does tuck into the rear quarter panel a bit with such an aggressive drop and non-staggered rear wheels. Just need spacers, I haven't gotten around to it yet plus it's winter for me right now so I'm back to stock 17".
