Default Razr and Nav.

I was wondering if anyone is using the Motorola Razr V3 with the Nav bluetooth and if there are any problems?

Each carrier puts its own firmware on the phone, so you'd get more valuable feedback if you include that information.

My Verizon Wireless Razr worked fine with the stock firmware - except that it couldn't transfer phonebook entries. It now works even better - including the ability to transfer phonebook entries - now that I've flashed it with Alltel firmware.

Same here, works actually really well except the transfering of contacts, I think its locked by the 'stock' firmware. I have the Razr V3c from Verizon.

If I was talking to someone and someone else called the phone would not switch over. When they would hang up my convo with the original person would end. Now after flashing firmware I don't get a dropped call, but call waiting doesn't work still. I am using Cingular btw.

I use a V3i and it doesn't display battery levels. Also, the strange thing is that when someone calls, the phone rings. I'm not sure if that's supposed to happen. As first, i thought the speaker in the car rings....

Everything is fine though...

Again, comments are much more relevant when you include your carrier. With both Alltel and Verizon firmware on my V3c, I do see the battery meter, and both the phone and the car speaker ring.

I don't have a razr, but I'm curious whether anyone with a razr or any other phone has their battery and signal strength actually display on the nav screen. I have an Alltel PPC6700 and it does not, even though the phone functions work well via the bluetooth connection.

Yes, both battery and signal strength appear on the screen. (This is with Alltel firmware, even though my provider is Verizon)

There is a list of compatible phones on the Lexus web site that tell you what phones do what with the IS. I just had to upgrade my phone service and needed to get a new phone. It turns out, out of the two phones I was interested in, the Razr was on the list and the other one wasn't. Since I'm waiting for my 350, I was curious about how well it would work.

To be accurate, when you click that link you are leaving the Lexus website and going to one operated by a phone reseller, LetsTalk.com.
(As an aside, McAfee's SiteAdvisor turned red when I visited that website -- apparently due to excessive spam)

If a phone is missing from the list, it may simply be a model that LetsTalk.com doesn't sell, as opposed to one that isn't compatible.
