rattles by my left ear
this is great information. my car had been at service for a week for overspray and the flex noise in the center dash, THEN i started noticing this same noise the day after i got it back, but only when the window was opened a crack. i still love this car, but i'd expect more from lexus for the parts fit.
I just developed this metallic rattle that seems to come from the seat belt adjustment area on the B pillar. It happens at highway speeds and gets worse when I hit a sharp bump or make a long turn left or right like on a freeway on-ramp. Also getting a squeak from the rear suspension over speedbumps now. Contemplating taking to the dealer... it's an '08.

this lexus is surely not what i thought it would be with regards to queaks and rattles. pre TSB for dash creaks and grinds it was awful, better now but far from "perfection"
Thank You Muzzman1! and bryan83 and other contributors! I recently found this post, although slightly old I must resurrect it!
For over one year that little metallic ticking by my ear was driving me crazy. I tried various fixes like taking apart the seat belt pillar, pulled off the door panel, used silicone glue on the weatherstripping replacing the tacky noisy stock glue. Noises can be very tricky to pinpoint since they can travel in holes and emit at a different point. The little piece of scotch tape on the inner door hook, fixed it!
Thanks again, it is nice to know i wasn't alone in my obsession

slightly different, but i have a rattle/buzz on the black trim going around the window. it's the upper rear corner of the front passenger window. that trim around. i push it in a little and it stops buzzing.
be careful with the silicone spray. i used it on my glovebox for my wagon as it was creating a bit of a rattle/squeak. it worked for a short while.
HOWEVER, all the places where i sprayed it, the back of the holes where it is contacted with another part of the car, became brittle and fell apart. i ended up getting a new glovebox instead.

I followed a post earlier and discovered that the molding around the window in the upper left hand corner was loose making the sound I thought was from the seatbelt. I fixed it with double sided tape. It comes right off and I put the tape on. I am making the dealer change the part.
The problem is in the rubber seal behind the window. When you roll down the window, you should be able to lift the seal from the metal and shove small pieces of felt under the seal. Problem solved
