I was under the impression that Audi got around this problem with their "EDL" electronic differential lock, a fancy name for the software in their ABS/stability control that brakes the wheel or wheels that have no traction.

I test drove all of them (A4 3.0 Quattro, IS250 AWD, 325xi and 330xi) at an xDrive Comparison Event back in April. The Audi didn't leave me impressed but the other 3 vehicles did. On the IS, I can feel it as each wheel braking and such as the computer distributes the power. It's more transparent in the BMWs. The only thing I can think of for choosing the xi models is because of the 330xi (and the corresponding price tag).

You mean A4 3.2 Quattro? They haven't made the 3.0 since 2004.

I loved the Audi AWD system on my 2000 S4. The combination of Quattro and snow tires was unstoppable.

If i'm paying a lot more for something else I want it to be better and I just dont get that with the BMW's. I like the G35's interior better than the bimmers. The cars are over priced IMO.

Audi....ehhhh.... they all look the same. if it wasn't an S4 or better I'd pass.

Lexus all the way!!!!
I'll politefully disagree with you on the interior comment. I hated the G35's interior and I didn't buy one just for that reason. I work for a company that gets "significant" discounts on Nissan/Infiniti products and left the dealership, the interior was that bad to me. Buttons in weird places, plastic, not a good thing. I'll take a 330i interior over a G35 interior anyday. Now Lexus, that's a different story. Lexus does make a nice interior, can't argue that point.
