will metalic tint mess with FM radio or navigation?

IMO the answer is 'maybe' to the Nav. It definitely does on most other Lexus models, but not all the time. Due to the location of the IS350 nav antenna it may simply weaken your signal and not cause a full-on error.
There is a recent post in another thread from someone who claims to build Nav systems for a living that says 'yes' they do.

My experience, no it won't reduce AM/FM signal. Some one here said the nav antenna is located near or on the front windshield. I don't have nav, so I can't comment on nav reception.
From some of the comments on this board, people make it sound like metallic tint has more metal than the sheet metal itself.

Man, I'd like a definitive answer on this as well. I've talked to several tinters and they all generally agree that the Nav signal shouldn't be affected as long as it's up in the front of the dash like everyone on here says. The stealers says differently. I figure they both have an agenda to sell whatever they carry, not what works best for me.
3M makes a Color Stable tint that is non-metallic, nav friendly, and guaranteed not to turn purple, but it is a little more expensive that metallic. Anybody know what nano-tint is exactly? It's quite pricey from the stealership.
