Default picked up car after tint/3M...not happy

What gives there is some specks of dirt under the film on the hood! He said he would redo, but I can't take it back for a few days. Also the tint looks OK except for many large and small bubbles in the rear window. He said they would go away but with cooler weather it might take a month. This guy is used by our Lexus dealer, so I banked on a good job. Is this typical of installs or did he screw it up? He did give lifetime gaurantee on both. Herer is pic in garage, 35% looks darker inside(black interior). Can't show pics of bubbles due to flash.

most small bubbles and blisters will go away within a few days.. unless its cold out. if you get a chance leave the car out in the sun as much as possible and if there are still bubbles bring it back.

haha. What does that mean... you get to bring it back as many times as it takes to get it right.

I'm actually going in for some tint tomorrow, but I have heard that it's a total PITA to tint the rear because of how the design of the car is. So I think I'm going to get them to take off the panels to ensure perfect tint.

It's harder to cover every single bubbles on the rear window because of the defroster. After leaving it in the sun for a few days, it should clear out most of the bubbles.

This is correct... Leave it out in the Sun!

Thanks for the input. I went to talk to the installer today about one window piece that got cut too short and in his shop was black '07 Z06, Porsche 997 turbo and last but not least a white IS 350. It's good to know we can hang with the big dawgs

He's talking about how our cars are looked upon as a "Luxury" car compare to the others...

Just like when my RX-8 when it first came out, I went to Universal City Walk, had to use valet since I was late for a concert, and they parked it next to a Ferrari Modena because the guy had no clue what it was until he parked the car and saw a Mazda emblem :P

Exactly my thought. I could take a ZO6 to a Jiffy Lube. That doesn't say anything about the quality of people working there, just I might be an idiot.

No problem. He like many, many people on here just have a case of new car.

Before you choose any tint or clear bra installer, you need to confirm that they have worked on the 2nd gen IS before and have done several. I don't care if the guy is currently working on a Lambo, Turbo Carrera or S55, that doesn't insure they know how to install a 2IS - why should you be the test pilot or guinea pig . . .

I'm still looking for an installer - in the meantime my bumper is getting jacked.

EnvisageDesignLabs came recommended but the f'ers can't give me a damn call back!!

How hard is it to spend money these days.
