Default Installing rear spoiler without drilling into trunk

Sorry if this has already been posted. Anyone have instructions for installing a rear spoiler without making those ugly holes by drilling into the trunk? I vaguely remember someone saying 3M tape could be used but more details are needed. Much appreciated!!
