I think it woud look nice. I liked the side moulding on my 01 330I. I also put the moulding on my wife's Acura MDX and it looks a lot nicer with it on. I bet it would look as nice on an IS.

It's like time warping your 2006 IS back to the 1990's... fresh!

At least that should protect the car from it's first door ding. My wife and I have to park our IS350 away from everyone to prevent it from happening.

you gotta remember that the molding only protects a 1 inch line on the side of the door. lotta cars are different heights with different shaped doors and most likely will ding above or below that door molding.

I bet that 1" of molding would reduce door ding occurences by at least 50%, espcially since most dings are caused by front passenger side doors (much flatter edge than rear doors).

these moldings are actually from the new 07 ES350, that is why it is only available for certain colors.

Body mouldings take away from the smooth lines of the car. It sticks out like a sore thumb on the car; an appendage that shouldn't be there...

I'm on the fence about this one.

I think side moldings would break up the smooth flow of the car but I cringe at the thought of door dings...

somebody buy em and post pics so we can see what they really look like

Give me $$$ so I can buy it and Ill post pics so you can see. In any case, the side moldings wouldn't look good on the new IS it would just kill the look of it.

Umm...they don't! That does not mean that the side moldings help the appearance of the car.

Side moldings...how about some mud flaps and louvers for the rear window too!!
