Hid beam pattern question

Many cars that are equipped with an HID (OEM) have a certain beam pattern design. Just because you have projecter doesn't mean it's made for HID. They could be designed for halogen bulbs. So .. my question.. if i get a non xenon equipped IS and i install aftermarket HID .. will this give you the same result as OEM equipped HID.

I'm asking do we still get the clean cut beam pattern..

Thanks

Judging by what all the people who converted their non-HID cars to HID...I would say it's a clean cut beam pattern. Do a search and find out.

you still do get a clean cut beam pattern

the cut off beam pattern may not be as sharp if the hid kit is too blue. i.e. a 4300K beam pattern will be sharper than a 10000K kit. The higher the light wavelength, the more it will scatter and have more 'glare' to oncoming traffic..not cool!

If you get the 4300 it's a very clean pattern, just make sure you get a good kit, alot of my friends got other kits and did not drill the dust cap and got condensation in the lamps.

I went with xenondepot.com, very well made kit. It took a while to come, but it was worth it.

what exactly do you mean by KIT.. i thought they were bulb and ballast... that's it... what does the kit have?

ULTiMaX99 08-30-06 04:22 PM

i think when they say kit.. they mean it includes the wire harness to wire n connect everything together. plus the rubber grommets for the bulb wires.
