last one...from inside the car...
i am v happy with the kit!! i guesstimate that it puts twice as much light onto the road. Its similar to the stock hids on a is200 that i drove for awhile.
thanks steve!

Umm correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the stock HID's 4300k? If I'm not mistaken Lexus uses the HID-D4S as OEM lighting on 2006 models. There really isnt any difference from the lights you're showing me and the stock IS350 lights. I would have opted for the 6000k or 8000k phillips xenEco lighting system

Would I need Xenon Depot HID kit if the car already have stock HID?
Why not just replace the stock 4100k with Philips 4300k bulbs?
If someone could answer my questions I would appreciate it.

because the retrofit bulbs will not fit the housing. Plus it would not be any brighter/better.

If you got a package that included HIDs you can just replace the bulbs with whatever color you want

actually..the HID's on the 06 IS350 is a new design utilizing less power to emit the same amount of light as the D2S and D2R HID's of yester year. The new HID's use a D4S bulb from phillips which contains less mercury (environment friendly) and emits 3200 lumens of lighting at only 4300k. You can not simply upgrade the bulbs on the OEM ballasts because the igniters do no put out enough power to ignite the bulbs. Doing so with the phillips xeneco's would burn out your harness, igniters and ballasts (very expesnive to repair). But you didn't hear that from me, I got all of that information from the mechanic at lindsay lexus in alexandria, va. The lights don't look as blue as other cars, because the lights on the IS are tad bit brighter. the higher the kelvin output the less lumens output there is.

urgent advice seeked
Hello I'm in the midst of installing the xenon depot HID kit on the IS350. So the wire that has the fuse along with it needs to connect to a positive terminal? Does this connect to the actual positive terminal on the battery? If so, can the driver side wire reach that terminal? Also where did you connect the ground to? I noticed two areas of the car where it may be grounded. Thanks for your help.

Hello,
As per your posts:
1) You would need to order an H11 conversion kit for the new IS.
2) Yes, you would need to run the positive lead on the harness to the positive terminal on the battery.
3) You can ground the harness to any bare metal bold on the car body.
