TPMS Serial Number???

TPMS Serial Number???
Question- Can you find the TPMS serial number anywhere except on the sensor? I want to get a new set of TPMS registered with the car, but don't want to pay to unmount and remount the tires on the new wheels, not to mention the risk of a shop scratching the wheels.

The issue is that those sensors first need to be registered. To answer the question, no, there's no way to get the numbers off the sensors without reading them physically. The TIS manual details the procedure involved in entering a new set of sensors into the ECU, and it involves using the "intelligent tester" tool to do so. But like I said, the only way to initially get the numbers is off the sensors themselves. But since you're going to have to bring it in to get them entered into the ECU anyway, it shouldn't cost terribly much more.

Did you purchase a set of sensors from a Lexus dealer (or perhaps a full set of wheels)?
The dealer may have a record of the serial numbers (if you are lucky).
If they sent you a set of wheels (built up) without providing the numbers, they should compensate you for the cost of having the wheels broken down, remounted and balanced.
If you do a search on the subject, you will find out how much fun I have had with the TPMS.

So do you think his dealership would keep a record of the serial number?

My sense is if they are the originals that came with the car, he can take the car in to the dealer and they can plug the car in and get the numbers.
I had my dealer write my numbers on a service record as part of my adventure with these things.
