Actually, it's about $700 for intake and exhaust for a 11rwhp gain. At least be accurate if you are gonna take a swipe at the 250 .

I got the '06 IS350 yesterday. Insurance premium was only about $100 more for six months compared to '07 IS250 and I got a great deal on it. Black with grey leather with navigation and spoiler. This is my second Lexus that I bought through a guy from this forum - b1gredek - and he is very good locating the car that I want and he got both for invoice price. Anyone looking for a new car should pm him. Thanks everyone for your opinions. I love this forum..

i agree with ff, most wives give two craps about how much horsepower they have under the hood. Pocket the two grand, save on your insurance, and just let her enjoy the lexus experience.

He already got the IS350 (good choice) Most wives might not care, but then again, most wives don't know any better either. Have her drive the 350 then jump in the 250 and you can be pretty sure she'll notice the difference.

Im currently in the same situation but 5 years from now who would take the bigger depreciation hit? I think the IS350 will hold a high resale value because there is less of it than the IS250.

There is no point to ask the question here because as u can see most responsed people here considered money is not an object. But u have to call the insurance before u make the decision. See!!!
