Allright, heres the deal. I asked a local dealership for a black on black IS 350, with ML and the luxury package. They said they'd call back, but haven't heard from them yet, I dont think they know the pricing of the 07's yet. Anyways, my mom checked out another dealership 40 min away and they said that they have an 07 black on black , luxury package on the lot for 41,000 and tried to disuade my mom from getting the ML. When my mom told me that I was like... how the hell does he have an 07 on the lot. So I call him, and he was like "oh your mom asked for an '06" but she didnt. So i tell him what I want, he says he has to special order it. I asked him how much and he said 42.5 k which I think is a really good price. But I asked him is that the exact price and he said he didnt know exactly, but said "lets just say 42.5 k" Should I put my deposit down, cause this guy seems kind of slick, or wait for other dealerships?

if you don't feel comfortable doing business with the guy, have him put it in writing on special order form (price, color, options ect ) whatever you talked about.

I personally, I would not give business to any dealer if I don't get treated right. I have little respect for smarty sales men.

I ordered a 2007 IS250, the sales person was very fair and didn’t give me the B.S. I got the special order form with what I described above.

 

Get it in writing.

Get the car you want for the price you want. It should not be what the dealer wants for you and what the dealer wants for you to pay...

Why would you want to do any business with a guy who is lying to you and your Mom?

For an '07 order, just agree on a selling price at xxx off MSRP, or xxx over invoice, and get it in writing.
