Anyone aware if the 06 IS350 has an Event Data Recorder (EDR: if you don't know what it is, Google is your friend).

I know in 2005 Lexus had them in most of their cars except the IS300 and RX300, but I can't find any 2006 data.

I'm pretty sure the 2006 IS has the event data recorder, and I'm pretty sure it talks about it in the owner's manual.

 

Yes, no doubt at all there is an event data recorder, and yes, the details of what it records is in the owner's manual. If you live in CA, the data it records belongs to you, and requires release by you unless it is court ordered as evidence (requires a search warrant.)

 

Oh I see you just read the article that's posted on aol's front page today.... Those have been out for years..

 

interesting how we haven't seen discussion of this much at all, but then it shows up on the front page of CNN.com and now there's two threads already on it......
