For those of you who have the NAV system... when its time for maintenance does the NAV screen tell you? Is it automatic? Because it seems like you have to set it each time for it to remind you...which I think is kind of pointless since I dont really know how often to change all the different things.... there are so many different icons on there.

If you do have to set it manually each time, I think I'll just ask the service dept. to set it each time I go in, that way at least it'll be the right settings each time.

I'm coming up on my 5000 mark and the car just started telling me... "Maintenance req'd soon".... it's cool... I love the "pop-up" messages on the dash. It's suttle though.... I didn't notice it the first few times I started the car up when it was showing because it disappears pretty fast.

 

Be careful what you wish for, you may not like it. If you pass 5,000 miles without reseting the indicator, you'll know what I mean. The annoying red exclamation point comes on, and the dash display tells you "service required" constantly. You can rotate the display to something else, e.g., temperature or gear position, but after a few seconds it goes back to the warning message. Very annoying!!
