Default Quick question

I was just curious as to whether the two glossy pieces between the front side windows and the rear side windows scratches easily? Because I was looking at my car this morning with the sun shining on it...and there seems to be some fine scratches on them. Something along the lines of those swirls you see on darker colored cars.

Im just wondering because I also noticed this heavily on my drvers side mirror and was thinking maybe Lexus didnt do a very good job when they washed my car. I just picked it up last week too.

Mine have no scratches after four months of use. Most swirl marks are usually due to poor washing/drying, not scratches.

My peeve: people touch it to close the door, so fingerprints show up very easily, especially with long fingered people that touch the glass as well. People should push the border of the door near the handle...

not sure on the 2is, but on my gs400 and my old is300, yup they were pretty hard to maintain. i had to polish them pretty often to remove all swirls

and btw, i never let anyone else washes my cars anyway

I wonder if its something the dealer can replace though? They have been pretty nice to me about a couple things already.
I know that they are gonna replace/fix up my side mirror that has all these swirl marks on it

This probably doesnt help them resist scratchs much, but i put a coat of
teflon wax on them, I like the slipperly feel it gives them..

that's something. they can just bring your car to their detailing section and 2 mins and it's all fixed
