You need to test drive the IS250. You are going to get opinions all over the board but in the end, the only opinion about the car is your's

I'm wondering if there's a lot of ppl who trade in their RX for IS because you don't have to spend that much extra cash.
test drive the 250 first then a 350 if you wish, only in that order tho, if you drive the 350 first it doesnt really make the 250 look good afterwards. IS250 is probably faster than a RX330 anyways

I checked on car magazine is 250 has 1 second faster than rx330 0-60 (7.7 seconds) and obviously better milage. Hows the milage on the 350? I don't think 350 is worth the power for a small car , i'm not a speed demon. I thought the audi a4 3.2 was unnecessarily powerful. lol. But I don't want it to be like underpowered like a corolla. You know what those bmw lovers are saying abt lexus. A toyota in disguise! haha. They're just bmw forever ****** who wont ever try owning a lexus. I know a lexus engine doesn't drive like a toyota ..but when my bumper was destroyed there was a 'toyota' styrofoam inside haha.

reading around some 350 people can get 28-31 mpg with a large majority of highway, seen some 350s in 21-23ish for majority city, not bad for having 306 horses

Well it isn't rocket science... If you were happy with the power of the RX330 and you just said the IS250 is a whole second faster, then logic would dictate that the IS250 will be powerfull enough for you.

I routinely average between 24 and 25mpg tank average on my IS350 with moderate driving. (not overly aggressive but not overly conservative either)

Have to jump in. Wife's car, she's been in an old 2dr Camry 4 banger. She drove the 250, "nice car". She drove the 350, "Whoohoo, this is it!" Judge by the seat of your own pants, only you can decide if the whoohoo factor is worth it.

Oddly enough I also just got rid of my 04 RX 330 that got in a minor accident!! But anyways I owned a modded IS 300 before the SUV, so I went and test drove the IS250 base model and thought it had great power with the manual 6 speed and faster than my old IS 300. So I ordered a IS250 with the sport package, then one day I was bored and I took the 350 for a spin.....well lets just say I cancelled my order on the 250 and got the 350 with sport package. Its night and day, but the 250 was certainly fun to drive. I get my car on the 30th WOOHOO! I think you will be more than satisfied with the IS250 going from the RX but the 350 is definitely worth the few extra thousand. Good Luck
