the one @Oakland, CA was asking $5000 non-refundable and selling @MSRP.....crazy!

Report them to the state of California. If you can actually get them to put that into writing for you they will get hit with a heavy fine. Any deposit in excess of $500 is illegal and all deposits must be fully refundable as well. The fact of the matter is that dealerships, in the bad old days, would take many, many large deposits on hot models they full well knew that they were never going to get and sit on the money (aka fraud) , that is why this law was enacted. Don't take crap from dealerships.

I, personally, wouldn't do business with a dealership that told me lies like that on the front end of a deal. California has a lot of Lexus dealerships and, fortunately, some of them don't operate like this Oakland franchise apparently does.

08 6spd 250-
I decided over the manual because first, I want a sporty feel , second, it was priced 6.7K less that the manual at 37K. The auto will go for 43.7K base models of the 250.

For that amount (43.7K) I would have stayed with the euros.
This is my first Lexus ( actually my first Japanese car). And it is no competition for a true german car, many noises from the tranny, wind drives you crazy over 65 miles. I guess I got what I pay for

08 6spd 250 here also.

I buy things ramdomly.

I've owned all manuals cars since I was 16 (Im 22) and I've owned 6 cars now. (2 hondas 2 mitsu VR4's and 2 lexus')

I dont really have a reason not to drive a manual... I didnt even test drive the auto and actually didnt even test drive the car I purchased before I bought it. haha. I have AADD (Auto ADD).

I havent posted pics of my new one yet. Once I find time to get some good ones they'll be up.

A salesmen told me that for every 50 ISx50, theres about 3 6MT's. The rarest option I believe would be an IS250 6MT with navi option. Only on special order.
