They need to have it say which tire it is... because when I went outside to look, none of them were flat. So I went to the gas station and checked each tire and found the rear left tire to be around 25 psi.
I filled it back with air... and since then my tire pressure sensor hasnt gone off.
I wonder if I have a slow leak or something... hopefully the alarm doesnt go off again tomorrow. I hope I dont have a nail or something.

I traded in a 1999 Vette for my IS-350. The Vette had run-flats and a similar sensor system on the valve stems except that the Vette would read out each tire's pressure in PSI individualy. I have no idea why the Lexus system can't do that.
The run-flat tires have a nasty tendency to bounce off road bumps so besides a rough ride, it spends a lot of time airborne. Not good. One of the bigest threads in the Corvette group is finding an alternative tire. Of course, the Vette leaves you no place to put a spare and even if they did, all 4 tires are different (18" in the rear and 17" in front, directional tread) wo which one would you choose as a spare?

Does anyone know where the tire pressure sensor is located on the rim? I knew someone who had their tires replaced and the guys at America's tire damaged the sensor when removing and installing the tires.
Best thing to do to avoid the low tire pressure sensor is go to the dealership and get Nitrogen in your tires saves you money on gas and the headache of the low tire pressure light!! Once i got the Nitrogen in my tires i havent had a problem with it since!!
same thing happend to me right after I installed my springs... and I thought it had to do with the springs setting some sensor off.. went to the gas station and checked the air.. rear right tire was low... 2 days later same thing.. had a small nail in the tire =(
the reason it doesnt tell you which tire is low because the way TPMS operates by a comparison system where it compares the pressure of all 4 tires, if one or so is different than the other three it will turn on the light. Obviously using this technique it can't tell you which tire it is. It just knows "one of these things is not like the others"
It is a good idea anyways to check the pressure in all tires anyways, not just one. A system like this is to enable the TPMS sensor batteries to last 10 years or so. I wouldnt want to demount tires to replace batteries, a huge pain. You should be checking all tires anyways when the system goes off, a better maintainence habit

When you fill up your tires during the summer, and keep the same air through the winter without checking the pressure; it will be much lower due to the colder air!
I had all four tires at 29-27 psi the other morning when mine went off. I realized the last time i checked them, they were at 36-38psi, and it was during the summer.
Remember this for the summer season; becasue it will go the other way-pressure increases with hot air! (READ: Over inflated tires are a death wish)
This is why you see an abundance of blown tires on the side of the road at the beginning of the summer.

had the same problem with my SC.
Got rid of the runflats and put on hi performance dunlops and she'a a different car. I keep a can of run flat in the trunk instead of a spare.
When the lease is up and the dunlops are shot, I'll put the run flats back on to p-off the next guy.

I'd be more upset that the dealer let the car out with 1 tire that low. They're supposed prep it befor delivery.
