I'm assuming that it lights up everytime you open your door. If that is what you are asking-

If you've installed aftermarket units, then you'll need to do some special wiring to get them working. If you do a search you should be able to find it.

Does anyone know if the non-lit doorsills are the same as from the 1st Gen IS, or any other Lexus model? Just wondering what's the easiest way to order non-lit sills.

Oops, I wasn't clear, I didn't mean aftermarket like 3rd party parts. I was referring to those who purchased the side sills separately (without the sport/lux package) and installed them afterwards.

The harness is there but there isn't any power going to it (nor is the power source switched if you do run power to it). There are a few posts about this, basically for people without Lux/Sport who bought the sills. It seems that the hardest part is getting them to be lit and to power them using a power source that's switched with the door lights.

I dont know if this will help anyone installing them (without Lux). When I took delivery of mine I noticed they didn't light up. Of course I picked up the car after the service department closed. It took 5 sales people to figure out that it is controlled by the button near the map lights. I was happy once they figured it out. I really didn't want to drive back to the dealership to have it repaired. It's pretty cool feature .But, you don't really notice it during the day.

yeah that was my issue. my salesman called today to see how things were and to give me the 2 free keychains you get with purchase so it was the dome light. the other salesguy who had done the delivery had pushed the button so that it wasnt tied to the opening of the doors. it glows soft blue now. thanks.
