Default Its IS here!!! or there!!!

I finally got the call from the dealer today. He said I can pick it up tomorrow at 11:30 am. I still drove by the dealership just so that he could get a copy of my license( didnt have a license at the time I ordered). But sure enough, it was sitting in their garage with the plastic still on it with a "sold" sign hanging from the mirror.

Now the bad news..... they raised the price on the car about $600 due to the "increase in fuel costs for delivery and other options such as floor mats". My question is can they do this?? I could really care less since I want my car!!! But I also do not want to be taken advantage of.

Any input??

I believe the delivery charge is standard an is $590. The inside floor mats
come standard with the car. The trunk cargo mat is part of the prefered
euipment package which also includes the cargo net and wheel locks.
It seems that they always include the prefered equipment package.
It's a $200 option.

I ordered my car without the prefered equpment package and it came
in with it. However, since it was not on my order contract, my dealer
is not going to charge me for it. I didn't even have to ask, they offered
to eat the extra cost which amounted to nearly $1000. The $1000
also included the head light washers which I did not order, and my
salesman did not update the figures when I made a change over the
phone from Lux to Sport and added ML with the Nav.

So, I'd say if it was not on your contract, refuse to pay it. I waited 4 1/2
months and my delivery charge did not change. I too am picking up my
baby, a black onyx 350 at 2PM tomorrow. I won't be able to sleep tonight
in anticipation.

If you already have a deal on paper with the price you nego. they can't legally change the price, but they sure could try. Don't take any crap from them.

i won't shell out 600 bucks for a pre-ordered car if you had an agreed upon price. and those floor mats (am assuming you meant the all weather mats) are only about 100. incidentally, i got those free from my dealer here in east bay area, california. i think your dealer can see you really drooling to have this baby so he's chiselling you for more dough. with that money, you can get a new ipod and load with thousands of songs,,,or maybe a new cell phone for the blue tooth radio system. anyway, good luck on your new car,,i'm sure you'll be glad to make the right choice.

Not if you have the agreement already in writing. Don't let your excitement in getting your hands on the car screw you out of $600.
