Default Huper Optik Tint...

Hello all,

I know there have been some threads on tint in general. I was curious to see if anybody on the boards tinted their cars with Huper Optik and how much they paid for it? I am getting mine tinted in a week or so and they are charging me 625 dollars. They are the ONLY shop in the MD, DC, VA area that carry Huper unfortunately... so no room to negotiate I guess. Thanks guys.

Ming.

Learn something new today. Well I looked up the website, I would think it would be useful depending on how much time u spend in the car. It is forsure alot of money. Mostly done in commercial GLASS buildings more than cars I guess. I would like to see what others have to say on it. I'll check here in WA.aswell how much is it, so u have soem ot compare too.
Good luck.

Save yourself $400 and go with 3M Color Stable. Just had mine done...looks awesome. Lifetime guarantee, including color fading. I have used 3M on every car i have owned, never had any problems.

I have huper optic, but I had my dealer throw it in as part of my deal along with the stone-x clear bra, so I couldn't tell you. sorry.

I have 35% all the way around which is the legal limit on the fronts for GA. (i wanted it to match). and it's enough tint without looking like I'm trying to hide something

For $625 I hope they come to your house, tint your car, wash and wax it 5 times and then clean your house.

Well ceramic tint is better than metallic tint since it won't interfere with the antennas in our rear windows as well as it is better at heat rejection. Supposedly, Huper is the best out there... german engineering and what BMW uses on most of their high end cars. Thank you for the feedback though.

I was quoted at $575 for all 7 windows. But they recommended that I do the side windows with Huper Optik and back window with Suntek for $475.

i highly doubt metallic tint will interfere with antenna reception. this is how shops market there more expensive product.

For the cars that dont have an actual antenna on their car it means that there antenna is on the back wind shield (i think it runs along the heated back windshield... not sure about this) and from my experience it did mess up my radio reception a bit on my old x5 when i got metallic tint

3M Color Stable film is not metallic, it is nano-carbon polyester based. Guaranteed not to interfere with radio or satellite signals or fade.

Just FYI.
